The service

Twixtle is a daily word puzzle at twixtle.games. The daily puzzle is free to play and needs no account. Twixtle+ is an optional paid membership that adds extras such as the full puzzle archive, cross-device solve sync, member stats, and a daily bonus puzzle. By playing Twixtle or subscribing to Twixtle+ you agree to these terms.

Twixtle+ subscriptions

• Twixtle+ is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from the account screen in the game; your benefits continue until the end of the period you have paid for.
• If a payment fails or the subscription lapses, member benefits pause but your puzzle history is kept.
• Prices may change; we will give existing subscribers reasonable notice before any change affects them.

Accounts

A Twixtle+ account is created when you subscribe and is signed in by an email link, with no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. Keep your display name (if you opt in to the supporters list) respectful; we may decline or remove names at our discretion.

Who can play

Twixtle is a word puzzle suitable for all ages and there is no minimum age to play the daily puzzle. Twixtle+ involves a payment, so you must be 18 or over to subscribe, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who is. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before choosing a name that other players will see.

Names other players can see

Two things you type can be seen by other people: the name you choose inside a league, and the name of a league you create. If you opt in to the supporters list, the name you choose there appears publicly on our supporters page.

• Choose a name that is not offensive, abusive, hateful, or someone else's personal information. Don't impersonate anyone.
• Your name in a league is fixed once you join, so pick one you're happy for the whole league to see all week. A league's own name is different: whoever created it can rename it from the Manage screen, and we keep a record of the names it has had.
• Anyone in a league can report a name from the league's Manage screen. Whoever created a league can remove a member from it.
• We may block or replace any name at our discretion, and we will do so promptly when a name is reported and we agree it breaks these rules. A blocked name shows as "Player" instead.
• Names on the supporters list are checked by us before they appear.

Illegal content

Illegal content is not allowed on Twixtle, and we will remove it as soon as we become aware of it. Because the only thing you can publish here is a short name, and names cannot contain links, there is very little scope for it, but the rule stands. If you see something you believe is illegal or breaks these rules, report it from the Manage screen of the league it appears in, or email hi@twixtle.games. We read every report.

If you think we got it wrong

If we blocked your name, or you were removed from a league and you think that was a mistake, email hi@twixtle.games and tell us the league and the name you played under. A person will look at it and reply.

Fair use

Please don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, scrape it at scale, probe it for vulnerabilities, or misrepresent your results to other players' detriment. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

Ownership

The Twixtle name, game design, puzzles, and site content are owned by UNSEEN FORMS LIMITED. You are welcome to share your results and screenshots; you may not copy the game or pass it off as your own. Twixtle is not affiliated with any other word game.

Liability

Twixtle is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it up and correct, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for losses arising from your use of a free puzzle game beyond what the law requires. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights relating to subscription refunds.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be noted here with a new date above. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
